Praise on the Water invites all to worship.
Grenada
area residents are urged to praise the Lord during the second
annual Praise on the Water starting at 1 p.m. Sunday.
According to Jonathan Moore, pastor of Christian Life
Church, the event will be at the main stage area following
Thunder on Water events this weekend.
“Praise on the Water is an interdenominational worship
service that will be followed by an afternoon of our community’s
finest Christian music artists and bands,” he said.
Moore said he thought for a long time that gospel and
Christian music was absent from the Thunder on Water
festivities.
“TOW Chairman Wanda Roche opened the door for us last year
to do this by wanting a more family-oriented atmosphere for the
festival,” he said.
The people on Praise on the Water have been working with the
Unity Committee of the Grenada Area Chamber of Commerce to get
the word out about the event and try to do things to bring the
community together.
“So come on out and pray with us and listen to music,” he
said. “We will have different music selections that encompass
Christian rock to jazz and traditional choirs.”
